A cannabis cultivation with a potential street value of up to £850,000 has been recovered in Dundee.

Police said officers acting on a tip-off raided properties in Albert Street at about 10:00 on Tuesday.

More than 1,000 cannabis plants were recovered in the operation.

Detectives said inquiries were ongoing to trace those involved.

Det Sgt David Feeney said: "This was a significant recovery which demonstrates our continued commitment to the serious and organised crime taskforce and the country's serious and organised crime strategy.

"We remain determined to disrupt those involved in the sale and supply of illegal drugs in our communities."
