Plans for 16 electric vehicle chargers in a Telford retail park have been submitted to the local council.

InstaVolt Ltd, based in Hampshire, has applied for the chargers, a feeder pillar, CCTV post and one substation at the Telford Forge Retail Park on Colliers Way.

The feeder pillar, which acts as a central distribution hub for the charging points, and the CCTV camera ,were described in the application as ancillary equipment to support the operation of the chargers and substation.

InstaVolt told Telford and Wrekin Council planners that the designs had been created to minimise visual or environmental impact.

Officials at the authority will made a decision on the application after a period of consultation with the public and specialists.
