A shop fire in a city is being treated as arson, a fire service said.

Cambridgeshire Police and the county's fire and rescue service were called to a blaze outside a shop on Gladstone Street, Millfield, Peterborough, at 04:35 BST on Thursday.

The road was closed due to a nearby gas main being damaged and Cadent Gas was managing the leak, police said.

The force added it believed the fire was started deliberately and officers have asked anyone with information to get in touch.
