A man has been arrested and charged over an assault at the Celtic v Hearts title decider at Celtic Park.

The game on 16 May saw scores of fans run onto the pitch in injury time, after Celtic scored a third goal that clinched a 3-1 win and the Premiership title.

Trouble also occurred in Glasgow's Trongate area after the game, with two police officers seriously injured and three members of the public needing hospital treatment.

The 38-year-old man is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court at a later date.

More than 30 other people have been arrested over the trouble in the Trongate, for a number of different offences.

About 3,000 supporters had gathered in the area to celebrate Celtic winning the league.

Police Scotland previously published images of 56 people they wanted to interview.
