Burst pipes leave homes and schools without water
BBCHomes and businesses in North Lincolnshire have been left without water due to burst pipes overnight.
A number of schools have been closed for the day, including John Leggott College, Messingham Primary School, St Hugh's School and St. Bernadette's Catholic Primary Voluntary Academy.
Anglian Water said while teams were fixing a pipe in the Scunthorpe area, a second pipe also burst, which temporarily stopped water flowing into the local reservoir and caused it to empty.
It said the first pipe has been temporarily repaired and water is flowing back into the network, and work continues on the second pipe to restore supplies.
The affected area includes Gunness, Kirton in Lindsey, Scawby, and Hibaldstow.
