Jailed nursery worker charged with fraud offence

A former nursery worker who was jailed for downloading thousands of indecent images has been charged with fraud after he took another job with children following his arrest.

Kristian Parry, of Middleton in Leeds, was jailed for two years in March having admitted making more than 5,000 indecent images of young children.

The BBC discovered Parry started a job at another nursery in Leeds while he was on bail and under investigation for possessing indecent images of children. The images did not involve children in his care.

Parry, 27, has now been charged with committing fraud by false representation in June 2025 and is due to appear at Leeds Magistrates' Court on 2 October.

On 17 March at Leeds Crown Court, Parry was sentenced to two years in prison and was given a Sexual Harm Prevention Order for 10 years.
