Man, 69, dies in one-vehicle crash in Dundee

A 69-year-old man has died following a one-vehicle crash in Dundee.

The accident, involving a silver Hyundai IX35, happened on Johnston Avenue, between Strathmore Avenue and Clepington Road, at about 08:10 on Friday.

The driver was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead. His passenger, a 63-year-old woman, was taken to hospital to be checked over.

Police have appealed for anyone with information about the crash, or anyone who has dashcam footage, to contact them.

The road was closed for crash investigation work and re-opened around 12.15pm.
