Police attacked by group of young people in Aberdeen
Fubar NewsTwo police officers have been assaulted after violence broke out when officers stopped an electric motorbike in Aberdeen.
A police car was also vandalised in the incident on Byron Square in the Northfield area of the city on Sunday night.
The violence broke out about 21:15, after officers arrested and charged a 16-year-old boy at the scene and issued a warning to an 18-year-old man in connection with an alleged shoplifting offence nearby.
Police say a "large group of youths" gathered and carried out "serious antisocial behaviour and violence towards officers". It is understood the injuries were minor and inquiries are ongoing.

Ch Insp Vicky Stables of Police Scotland described the attack as "completely unacceptable".
She said: "Our officers must be kept safe when doing their job and I'd like to thank them for their professionalism in the face of such disorder in our local community.
"The use of these vehicles poses a serious risk to the public and their continued antisocial use will not be tolerated".
She urged the public to contact the police with any information on the illegal use of electric motorbikes.
