Arrests as pupil hurt and reports car drove at teacher

The incident happened outside a school on Shelley Avenue in Warwick

Four people have been arrested after reports a car was driven towards a teacher outside a school in Warwick.

Warwickshire Police were called at 08:30 BST and told the occupants of a black Ford Puma made threats towards pupils at a school on Shelley Avenue and then left the area.

The force believe they have located the driver and they have been arrested and a young teenager was also reportedly assaulted resulting in a cut to their face.

A 14-year-old girl from Warwick was arrested on suspicion of assault - ABH while a 46-year-old man from Nottingham and a 43-year-old woman from Warwick were both arrested on suspicion of attempted assault - GBH. All three have been released on bail.

Police said the school has reiterated that its site "remains secure, students are safe and lessons are continuing as normal".

It urges anyone who has any information to come forward.
