Two men deny Eston shooting murder
Cleveland PoliceTwo men have denied murdering a man in a shooting.
Peter Phillips, 47, was found dead at Ayton Crescent in Eston, near Middlesbrough, on 24 May, with Cleveland Police previously saying he died from a single gunshot wound.
Tony Gaffney and Johnathan Spencer, both 39 and from Middlesbrough, pleaded not guilty to murder when they appeared at Teesside Crown Court.
Annaliese McQuilling, 38, from Eston, is also charged with murder but was not asked to enter a plea. A trial, estimated to last up to three weeks, has been listed to start on 25 January 2027.
