Arrest after car passenger badly injured in crash

A man has been arrested after a car passenger suffered potentially life-threatening injuries in a crash in Bradford.

Police were called to Great Horton Road, at the junction with All Saints Road, at about 09:00 BST on Saturday after a black Toyota Yaris hit a stationary white BMW X5.

A passenger in the Toyota, a 30-year-old man, was taken to hospital by air ambulance for treatment to his serious injuries, West Yorkshire Police said.

A 33-year-old man, believed to be the driver of the Toyota, was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and was released on bail. He was treated for injuries not believed to be life-threatening, police said.

Anyone who witnessed the incident, or who had footage from the scene, was urged to contact police.
