Drugs, guns and ammunition found during security alert

Suspected firearms have been seized from a house following a security alert in north Belfast.

Residents of Rosapenna Parade were moved from their homes in the early hours of Friday morning.

The police ended their search of a house in the area on Saturday and recovered a number of items including suspected firearms, ammunition, class A drugs and cash.

A 28-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of offences including possessing a firearm in suspicious circumstances.

He has since been released on bail.
