A field could be converted in to public gardens, school car parking and a pétanque court.

Plans have been submitted to change the use of the field bordering La Rue Gombrette, in St John, Jersey.

If approved, the space would also have a pavilion, the application said.

Under the plans a car park for 23 vehicles would also be built to provide staff parking for the neighbouring school. The plans will be discussed at a later date.
