Man charged with arson after two bungalow fires

A man has been charged with arson with intent to endanger life and burglary after a fire engulfed two bungalows.

Firefighters were called to the blaze, which began in a hedgerow before spreading to two vehicles and then the two adjoining properties, on Rollestone Road, Holbury, Hampshire, on Sunday evening.

Michael Cranwell, 32, of May Close, Holbury, was charged by Hampshire Police with arson with intent to endanger life and dwelling burglary.

He is due to appear at Southampton Magistrates' Court on Tuesday.
