Avon and Somerset Police said the incident happened on the Esplanade in Burnham-on-Sea, Somerset, shortly before 04:00 BST on Sunday.

As first reported by Burnham-on-Sea.com, a man was arrested in nearby Sea View Road at 04:10 BST on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle and drink driving.
