Boy struck by fire engine heading to emergency
Holly Nichols/BBCA 13-year-old boy has been hit by a fire engine responding to an emergency call with blue lights activated.
Bedfordshire Fire and Rescue said one of its vehicles was heading towards an incident in Luton when it collided with the teenager on High Street North in Dunstable at around 07:40 BST.
After being assessed by ambulance crews, the boy was discharged to the care of his parents.
The fire service said it is liaising with the police and a full investigation is underway.
