A cyclist has died following a collision with a car in Hull early on Friday.

Humberside Police said the crash, which involved a purple BMW, happened on Dansom Lane South at about 07:40 BST.

Police said the deceased had been named by his family as Paul Regan, 46, from Hull.

Officers said he was taken to hospital for treatment but died later from his injuries.

The police appealed for anyone who witnessed the collision or has dashcam or CCTV footage to contact them.
