Second man arrested over gunshots fired at houses
GoogleDetectives investigating two incidents of shots being fired at properties in Doncaster have made a second arrest.
Gunshots were fired on Surrey Street in Balby on 17 April and on Sheppard Road in Balby on 19 April, with no one injured in either incident, according to South Yorkshire Police.
A man, 21, was arrested on Friday on suspicion of attempted murder, possession of firearms with intent, criminal damage - arson endangering life and theft of a motor vehicle, a force spokesperson said.
A man, 37, who was arrested on Tuesday on suspicion of attempted murder, possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life and arson with intent to endanger life had been released on bail, they added.
Det Ch Insp Simon Cartwright said the investigation into both incidents was "continuing at pace and we are continuing to carry out enforcement activity to find those responsible for these abhorrent actions that put innocent people at risk".
"While these arrests are a development in our investigation, we are continuing to appeal to our communities to aid our inquiries," he added.
"Sometimes what you think is the smallest piece of information is the vital part we're missing."
