Man dies after falling from Harvey Nichols building in Edinburgh

Emergency services were called to the five-storey building on St Andrew Square

A man has died after falling from the Harvey Nichols building in Edinburgh city centre.

Emergency services were called to the department store, on St Andrew Square, at about 11:35.

Police Scotland and Scottish Ambulance Service crews attended but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The force said that he had "fallen from height" and inquiries were ongoing.
