Teenager, 17, seriously injured in e-bike crash

A 17-year-old boy has suffered potentially life-threatening injuries in an e-bike crash.

The teenager was hurt when his Sur-Ron bike collided head-on with a Toyota Auris, in Crag Lane, Halifax, close to the Flying Pig pub, shortly after 20:30 BST on Saturday.

West Yorkshire Police said the boy had been taken to hospital, where he remains with serious head and leg injuries.

A force spokesperson said the driver stopped at the scene and was not arrested. Anyone who witnessed the crash, or who has relevant footage, is asked to come forward.
