The driver of the Yaris died following the collision, police said

An 88-year-old woman has died after a crash involving her car and a parked vehicle in Harrogate.

The collision happened on St Winifred's Road at about 11:35 BST on Sunday when the woman's silver Toyota Yaris struck a black Tesla parked in the road.

The woman's family have been informed.

Appealing for witnesses North Yorkshire Police asked anyone who saw the crash, or who had dashcam footage of the incident, the moments leading up to it, or the Toyota Yaris beforehand, to come forward.
