A teenager has been left with potentially life-changing injuries after being attacked and stabbed in Birmingham.

The 15-year-old boy was taken to hospital following the attack at about 20:20 BST on Sunday on Appledorne Gardens, Shard End. He was in a vehicle when he was attacked by a group, in what West Midlands Police are describing as a targeted incident.

The victim remains in hospital but is in a stable condition and the force have said there is no wider threat to the community.

An investigation has been launched and police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with any information
