Dispersal order after gangs antisocial behaviour

A dispersal order has been introduced in Lincoln city centre after gangs of youths threatened people, threw chairs around, and made hoax 999 calls.

Lincolnshire Police said incidents had been caught on CCTV over the weekend and, "despite continued engagement and intervention by officers, further incidents have continued to occur".

The 48 hour dispersal order will remain in place until 21:38 BST on Wednesday.

The order gives officers additional powers to order individuals to leave the area and not return for a specified period.

In a social media post, the force said: "Since the order has been put in place, we have not received any further reports".
