A man has died following a collision between two cars in Herefordshire on Monday night.

Two other men were taken to hospital following the crash between a black Toyota Corolla and silver Hyundair i20 on Tillington Road in Burghill, police said.

West Midlands Ambulance said it was called to the scene at 23:40 GMT and found the driver of one of the cars had suffered "serious injuries".

"Sadly, it became apparent nothing could be done to save him and he was confirmed dead at the scene," a spokesperson said.

A second man, who was a passenger in one of the vehicles, was treated for serious injuries at the scene before being taken to hospital.

"The other driver, also a man, was treated for injuries not believed to be serious and taken to Hereford County Hospital," the spokesperson added.

West Mercia Police appealed for witnesses, adding officers were keen to speak to anyone who had dashcam footage from the moments leading to the collision.
