A man has been seriously injured following an incident in Hereford.

Police were called to Kernal Road at about 23:40 BST on Sunday, where they found the man with stab wounds, West Mercia Police said.

The man, in his 20s, was taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital where he remained in a serious condition, the force said.

Officers appealed for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward and said there would be an increased police presence in the area while police established what had happened.
