Ex-teacher and boarding master accused of sex offences

A former teacher and boarding master has been charged with sexual offences against five boys in the 1980s and 1990s.

David Henry Shelly Wright, 79, of Longwell Green, is accused of 11 offences when he was a teacher, boarding master and later a non-teaching employee at Queen Elizabeth's Hospital independent school in Bristol.

He is set to appear at Bristol Magistrates' Court on Thursday.

Avon and Somerset Police said an investigation began in April 2020 following a third-party referral.
