E-scooter rider critically injured after taxi crash

An e-scooter rider has suffered life-threatening injuries in a crash with a taxi.

Emergency services were called to Wimborne Road in Bournemouth, near to the junction with Talbot Road, at about 03:44 BST.

Dorset Police said the rider was a 21-year-old man from the town and that he had been taken to hospital for treatment.

The force thanked the public for their patience during the resulting road closure and urged anyone who witnessed or had dashcam footage of the crash to get in contact.
