A38 carriageway shut after car and motorbike crash

One carriageway of the A38 in Derby has been closed after a crash between a car and a motorbike.

Derbyshire Police said on Sunday afternoon that the dual carriageway was shut westbound from the junction for Heatherton to Toyota Island.

The force said the road was "likely to remain closed for some time".

Drivers are asked to avoid the area if they can but plan extra time for journeys if they need to head that way, officers said.
