Armed police arrested two women hours after a suspected stabbing

A woman has been charged after a man was found with a stab wound.

Police were called to a roundabout on Evesham Road, in Bishop's Cleeve, Gloucestershire, at about 22:00 BST on Saturday evening to reports that a man had been seriously injured.

Jaimee Saunders, of Minetts Avenue in Bishop's Cleeve, has been charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

The 21-year-old has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Cheltenham Magistrates' Court later.

Another woman, in her 50s, who was arrested on suspicion of perverting the course of justice, has been released on bail.

The victim remains in hospital in a stable condition.

Investigating officers asked anyone with relevant information or footage to contact Gloucestershire Constabulary.
