A manslaughter charge against a man accused of causing the death of a woman in Skegness has been dropped.

Minnie Jarret, 21, was injured in an alleged altercation outside Buster's Bar on Grand Parade at about 01:00 BST on 9 August, and died later in hospital.

Rennforde Fletcher, 53, of St Ann's Hill, Nottingham, had been charged with manslaughter.

Lincoln Crown Court heard earlier that the Crown Prosecution Service had discontinued the case against Fletcher following a review of the evidence.

At the same hearing, Fletcher pleaded guilty to two drugs offences committed on 9 August.

He admitted possessing cocaine with intent to supply, on the basis he intended to sell some of the drug to fund his own addiction.

He also pleaded guilty to possessing cannabis for personal use.

Granting Fletcher bail, Judge Simon Hirst adjourned sentencing until 3 December for the preparation of a probation report.
