A service will be held at the Knoll at the top of Knoll Street at 11:00 BST on Monday, ahead of Armed Forces Weekend, which runs from 26 June to 28 June.
North East Lincolnshire Council said people from the armed forces, veterans and associations would attend the service.
Gavin Marshall, director of the Armed Forces Major Engagement Team, said next Saturday's Armed Forces Day was important to the local community and "their way to show support for our armed forces – past, present and future".
He added: "It is a celebration of our close ties with the military in an area where one in seven of the population has links with the military community."
Among the highlights of the weekend will be flypasts by a Typhoon jet and a Spitfire from the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight.
There will be military vehicles on display, performances by choirs and dance groups, and an evening show with a live band.
A timetable of events is on the Armed Forces Day website.
