The Made in Cov Arts and Creative Grants programme aims to support local artists and community organisations

Fifteen arts schemes in Coventry will split more than £60,000 in funding between them, it has been announced.

The Made in Cov Arts and Creative Grants programme aims to support local artists, community organisations and freelancers to work with residents in creating activities to bring communities together.

Launched in April, the programme also addressed gaps and inequalities to residents' access to arts and culture, by cutting the costs, Coventry City Council said.

Projects in eight areas of the city most in need, with limited access to culture, were prioritised, a spokesperson added.

Those getting the cash community radio station Vanny Radio, arts venue The Albany Theatre and Coventry Biennial.
