Commuters are facing diversions and long tailbacks after an overnight crash led to the closure of the M8 in Renfrewshire.

Police said a collision was reported at about 23:45 on Sunday between junction 29 near Paisley and junction 30, just west of Glasgow Airport.

Emergency teams remain in attendance, with drivers advised to find alternative routes.

The closure is causing difficulties for drivers with some using the Erskine Bridge as a diversion route, or travelling on smaller roads through Erskine.
