Woman in her 90s dies following crash

A woman in her 90s has died after being involved in a crash on an A-road.

The blue Honda Jazz she was driving collided with a black Audi A6 on the A419 Ebley bypass at about 16:40 BST on Friday, Gloucestershire Police said.

The woman, from Stroud, was airlifted to Southmead Hospital with serious injuries and died on Sunday evening, the force confirmed. The driver of the Audi, a woman in her 60s from Monmouthshire, was taken to Gloucestershire Royal Infirmary with minor injuries and has since been discharged.

Police officers appealed for witnesses of the crash and anyone who may have any relevant dashcam footage to contact them.
