Depending on which calendar you are looking at we are either almost two weeks into autumn (meteorological) or almost two weeks away (astronomical).

But whilst we might be confused, nature continues at its own pace with the weather also setting some lovely scenes.

As always, our BBC weather watchers across north-east England and Cumbria have been out and about capturing them.

Here are some of our favourite snaps.
