Overnight closures as roadworks draw to close
City of Wolverhampton CouncilThe final phase of a road resurfacing project in Wolverhampton is getting under way.
The work will be carried out on Old Heath Road between Friday and Wednesday, excluding weekends, with road closures taking place overnight.
Some surface dressing, to prevent potholes, has already been carried out and road markings will then be added later.
City of Wolverhampton Council said it was part of a £10m programme of roadworks planned for the current financial year.
The night time closures will affect a stretch of the road from 114 Old Heath Road to the Willenhall Road junction.
The council said access would be maintained where it is safe to do so.
It also said it had 480 miles of roads to maintain and it planned to resurface more than a dozen during June and July.
