Crews remain at scene of country park fire
Only DronesFirefighters are still at the scene of a grass fire in Stoke-on-Trent keeping an eye on it and any hot spots.
They were called at 16.30 BST on Sunday to Park Hall Country Park, off Park Hall Road, following reports of smoke coming from the area.
"Crews have worked through the night to extinguish pockets of fire and further resources will be going to the scene today," said Martin Weaver, from the service.
The fire covered about 100m x 100m of scrubland and grassland.
Two crews remained at the scene on Monday.
People were asked not to travel along Hulme Road, between Hulme village and Park Hall Road, in order to allow access for fire service vehicles.
"The demand we have faced across Staffordshire this summer has been unprecedented," Weaver added.
"While we still need to determine the cause of this fire, we'd ask people to follow the safety advice on our website to help prevent wildfires from happening in your area."
