A tenpin bowling alley that closed last October after 36 years in business could be set to be turned into a self-storage facility.

Rollerbowl in the Culduthel area of Inverness employed about 25 staff before it was shut down.

The site had 24 lanes, an arcade, pool hall, diner and bar.

Highland businessman Ewan Calder has submitted plans to convert the building with the backing of a £2m investment.

A self-storage facility is a commercial property that rents individual, secure storage spaces to people and businesses who need extra room.
