Man arrested on suspicion of village rape

A man has been arrested on suspicion of rape in a Kent village.

Officers are carrying out investigations at an address in the Foxborough Hill area of Woodnesborough, near Sandwich.

Kent Police said a man, in his 30s and from the area, had been arrested in connection with the incident. He remains in custody.

The force said it was not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident.
