Fire crews from Hampshire were involved in tackling the fire

Fire crews have been tackling a blaze in Southampton covering an area of about 11 acres.

Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service (HIWFRS) said it was alerted to the fire at Weston Parade at 16:00 BST on Monday after receiving multiple calls.

Crews from Eastleigh, Beaulieu, Fareham, Hightown and Lyndhurst are at the scene.

HIWFRS said the fire is now surrounded and crews are dampening down.
