James Webb went missing on Tuesday

A body has been found in the search for a missing man at a National Trust estate.

Ickworth Estate near Bury St Edmunds was shut while police and Suffolk Lowland Search and Rescue looked in parkland and woodland areas on Thursday.

James Webb, 61, had failed to return to his home in Burwell, Cambridgeshire, on Tuesday.

Managers at the 1,800-acre attraction said it would remain closed on Friday and urged people not to travel to the estate.

Suffolk Police said Webb's car was found in the vicinity of Ickworth Estate.

Formal identification has yet to take place but his family has been informed.

The death is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be passed to the coroner, the force added.
