The family of a pizza chef stabbed to death in a Sheffield park four years ago have shared a tribute and renewed their appeal for anyone with information to come forward.

Italian national Carlo Giannini's body was found in Manor Fields Park in the city on 12 May 2022.

South Yorkshire Police said the 34-year-old had been murdered but nobody has ever been charged in connection with his death.

Giannini's family said there was "not a single day in our lives when we do not feel his absence".

He worked at a pizza and grill restaurant in the Broomhill area.

The family added: "Four years have passed, yet we continue to hope someone may have seen or noticed something that could help us bring justice for our Carlo."

Seven people were arrested in connection with Giannini's death but were released with no further action.

Four knives were recovered in a search of the scene during the initial investigation, but none of the weapons could be linked to the murder.

Det Chief Insp Becky Hodgman said the force would "thoroughly investigate" any information, and just one crucial piece of evidence could be enough to identify those responsible.

"Our greatest aim is to achieve justice for Carlo's family," Hodgman said.

Anyone with information should speak to police.

"Justice delayed is better than justice denied," Hodgman added.
