Man admits harassing Blackpool South MP

A man has admitted harassing Labour MP Chris Webb.

Lancashire Police received a report earlier this month that emails containing threatening and abusive messages had been received by the Blackpool South MP.

Appearing at Lancaster Magistrates' Court on Wednesday, Ahmet Hilal admitted harassment by putting a person in fear of violence between 6 June and 14 July, police said.

The 41-year-old of Red Bank Road, Blackpool, was bailed and will be sentenced at Preston Magistrates' Court on 20 August.
