'Shock' on the estate - Matt Murray from the scene
The atmosphere on the Alway estate near the crash scene is one of shock. It's quiet but many people have come from their homes to the police cordon at Aberthaw Road.
A forensic tent has been set up where the crash happened and there are about eight police vehicles.
When I arrived, it was unclear what had happened. People who live in the area knew that two had died and, initially, they feared there had been another stabbing. There is still a memorial on the roundabout for Ryan O'Connor who was murdered here back in 2021.
One resident I spoke to, who didn't want to be named, said the crash happened at about 01:00, and some were woken by the police helicopter at about 02:00.
I spoke to two residents who said they knew the people who died. They said they were in a state of shock and described the deaths as "worrying" and "totally heartbreaking".
