Five charged with murder after 'serious assault'

Five people have been charged with murder after a man died following an alleged serious assault in Hull, Humberside Police has said.

Emergency services were called to Queen Victoria Square at about 03:45 BST on Sunday.

Martin Chadburn, a former serviceman and an employee of Hull 4 Heroes, was taken to hospital with a life-threatening head injury and died on Tuesday morning, the force said.

Three women and two men are due to appear at Hull Crown Court tomorrow.

They are:

  • Britney Naylor, 20, of Dibsdane, Hull
  • Bethany Naylor, 20, of Deerhurst Grove, Hull
  • Shaytiya Farrow, 21, of Peter Street, Blackpool
  • Lukasz Matusiak, 27, of Needlers Way, Hull
  • Kristjan Suits, 34, of Queens Road, Hull

Humberside Police described Britney Naylor, Bethany Naylor and Farrow as black British nationals. Suits was described as a white Estonian national and Matusiak as a white Polish national.

This information has been released by the police consistent with their national guidelines.
