Motorway lanes were shut after a fire spread to an embankment at the side of a carriageway.

Traffic was held on the southbound M5 between junction three and junction four, north of Bromsgrove, Worcestershire, with delays of 20 minutes being reported by National Highways at about 14:00 BST on Monday.

Three fire engines were sent to tackle the fire and Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service said all lanes reopened by 14:30.

Drivers were warned there could still be congestion if they took the route.
