The M60 has reopened to rush hour traffic after a man died on a section of the motorway in the east of Manchester earlier today.

The road had been shut between junction 10 at Trafford Park and the Eccles interchange at junction 12 since about 09:40 BST.

National Highways said there are two miles of congestion in the area and warned drivers that delays are still expected.

Diversions were in place to keep traffic moving, after queues began to build either side of each junction after the incident.
