Women injured in detached caravan crash
GoogleThree women were injured and a man has been arrested after a caravan became detached from a vehicle and mounted a pavement.
Lancashire Police were called to Beechtrees in Skelmersdale at about 20:30 BST on Wednesday to reports a caravan had uncoupled from a dark blue Range Rover Vogue and hit two 18-year-old women. A woman in her 30s was then allegedly struck when the vehicle left the scene, the force said.
A 44-year-old man from Rotherham was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and assault, and later released on bail pending further inquiries.
The two teenagers were taken to hospital with serious injuries while the third woman suffered minor injuries.
Officers are appealing for information and footage.
