A man has appeared in court and denied murdering his brother, who is believed to have been stabbed at least 36 times, prosecutors say.

Taylor Mitten, 23, appeared by video link at Lewes Crown Court in East Sussex on Thursday, where he pleaded not guilty to murdering Jack Mitten, 25.

Police launched a murder inquiry after the victim was found fatally injured at a house in Worthing in West Sussex on 3 September 2025.

A trial is expected to take place in November.

Emergency services were called to Lindum Road at about 16:00 BST to reports of a man with serious injuries before the victim was found.

Members of the Mitten family were being supported by specialist officers, Sussex Police said.
