Two charged over £800,000 cocaine and heroin seizure

Two men have been charged after police seized heroin and cocaine worth an estimated £800,000 from two homes in Motherwell.

Officers raided the properties in Marmion Crescent on Tuesday and recovered large quantities of the class A drugs.

A four-figure sum of cash was also discovered during the seizure, which Police Scotland described as "significant".

Two men, aged 54 and 58, are due to appear before Hamilton Sheriff Court on Wednesday.
